Christian Fuersich regretfully passed away in New York on Tuesday, September 11th. He was a loving husband, son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, and friend and will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Christian received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania & two Masters degrees from Columbia University, the first in International Affairs and the most recent in Social Work which was his true passion.
He is survived by Humberto Salomon, his husband and partner for 16-years and by his mother, father, and sister.
Christian's life will be honored on Tuesday, September 17th, 2019 at the Greenwich Village Funeral Home with visitations from 3-5PM and 7-9PM. A mass will be held the following day, Wednesday, September 18th, at 10AM, at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 16th and 6th in Manhattan. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Christian's name to VisionsNYC, a New York City based not-for-profit which helps serve the needs of visually impaired neighbors in the community. Christian volunteered at Visions and was passionate about their work.
