Heart Emblem

June 5, 1956 – December 22, 2021

Jacqueline Monfort passed away suddenly on December 22, 2021, in NYC, at the age of 65. The eldest child of George and Marie Monfort, Jackie grew up in Oyster Bay, New York. After graduating from high school there in 1974, she went on to acquire a B.A. degree in English literature from SUNY Brockport—along with a quick wit and a life-long passion for books.

After college, she embarked on a fulfilling marketing career in financial services and fintech. With Series 7 and Series 63 licenses in hand, she ascended to numerous leadership roles with several organizations, including Shearson, Citibank, Chemical Bank, the Depository Trust & Clearing Corp., UBS and Schwab Capital Markets.

In addition to being an avid reader, Jackie enjoyed all that New York City has to offer— from music, theater and film, to museums, restaurants and exploring neighborhoods. She enjoyed traveling and always looked forward to spending a few summer days in Maine as she did over the past several years. She cherished her wonderful family of friends and was the most kind, fun and loyal friend anyone could have. With a "the more the merrier" disposition, she relished hosting holidays at her home, and always extended invites to anyone spending the holidays alone. She took great pleasure and care of her cats, Ollie and Effie. But more than anything, Jackie adored and took exceptional pride in her niece, Stephanie, whom she raised from an early age. Raising Stephanie brought Jackie great joy. Jackie's passing is an immense loss for all who knew and loved her.
